Motherborad Supports - PCI-Express + 2 Video Cards + Support P4 and Core 2 Duo?

I am looking for a motherboard that supports the following configurations:

1. 2X PCI-Express Slots - (I want to use 2 PCI-Express video cards, so if you can explain how to do that it would be helpful)

2. Will support P4 processor (2.25 Ghz) but will also support Core 2 Duo for when I upgrade. I would like to use the motherboard with my current P4 2.25 processor and upgrade later to Core 2 Duo without changing the motherboard.

I dont need a specific model, just specifications (a specific model will be helpful but not necessary)... I think Socket 775 is what I need but I am not sure.

Thanks!

I don't think any motherboard in existence supports P4 and core 2 duo.
Reply:If your Pentium 4 is an LGA775 chip then your upgrade path will be supported, if not they I would recommend that you upgrade your whole system. I can't really give you a specific model, but if you want to use 2 Nvidia Cards in SLI (their multi card technology) you will need something based on an Nvidia chipset, supporting SLI. If you would prefer ATI your only good option in my opinion would be the DFI ICFX3200. Good luck with the upgrade.
Reply:the new motherboards are good ones, it should support, new technologies

But why not make life easier on yourself and cooler for your PC and power supply too. Just get the single most powerful graphics card that you can afford.
