I have an ATI X800XT and a ATI 3D Rage Lt Pro video card, and they seem to work just fine until i have programs running on all 3 monitors. Then I hear a loud screeching noise and everything freezes up. Does anyone have any idea what maybe causing this and what I can do to fix it.. There are no upgraded drivers for the ATI 3D Rage Lt Pro.
When using 3 monitors on two individual video cards what causes the monitor to make loud noise and freeze up?
This does *not* sound good. Is the screeching coming from the monitors (my guess) or from the boards? Whatever it's coming from, stop doing this - you'll hurt a perfectly good piece of hardware.
Probably the best thing to do is upgrade your old video board.
