Video cards?

i am sooo lost on video cards. i am looking to buy a new laptop. i want it to play the sims 2 expansion packs i have the first few (up to business) then i bought family fun stuff and it wont work and the sims ppl say its bcuz of my vid card. so, i want to make sure my new laptop has the right card!! the requirements are going to be in the details,

i dont really understand the video cards. are the bullets more types of chips u can have of that brand? will ATI RADEON® Xpress1150 256MB HyperMemory work? how do i know if a chip i find will work? as long as its greater than the numbers listed?? what about an ati mobility radeon 7500?

Video cards?
The radeon 1150 is an integrated graphic card. It will probably lag while playing The Sims 2, so I would not recommend that graphic card at all.

The radeon 7500 is actually worse than the 1150...

The first 65 cards on that list will let you play The Sims 2 with no problem. So when you find a laptop you like, all you have to do is check if the graphic card it offers appears on the top 65 of that list. (Hint: Use cntrl+f to find the card easily)

The first 30 will let you play even more graphic intensive games, say World of Warcraft, or something, so if all you want it for is the sims, just aim for something in between position 30 and 65.
Reply:Any card you get will allow you to at least play Sims (just make sure you get a card- if you have something made by Intel in the graphics card area, it is not actually a graphics card). Other than that, if you don't know what you are doing, you should be fine just judging their quality by their price. You get what you pay for.
