Video cards?
No, it will run, but you will get tons of errors, and horrible graphics - well, specifically, heads detached from bodies...

Basically two people who bought two laptops with x1200 graphic cards, tried playing the sims 2, and got the exact same problem.

If you still haven't closed the deal, look for a computer that features any of the cards listed as supported on the sims 2 site, or any from the 'Low End', 'Mid Range', or "Performance' Video Cards from the following site:

Reply:hate to say this but you answered your own question. look at the bottom line. x1300 x1600 etc. no mention of the x1200

the x1200 does have a memory thats ok but the chipset is not supported. i personally woud try to find a better chipset such as the x1800 or a 9600

if you decide to go for a desktop id go with a ati radeon 9700 or higher with agp2 or pcie i have the agp model and its pretty cool. it also has hdmi for true digital to lcd grpahics.
Reply:ITs fine Dont worry about it.
Reply:That is a pretty decent DX9 integrated graphics that would have no problem with the Sims 2.
