Will my video card work with World of Warcraft, and if not, what video cards in your expierience work well?

I have VIA/S3G KM400/KN400 video card (I know it's old) and was wondering if theres any drivers I can download to make sure WoW will work, (if WoW wont work with that card anyway). Also feel free to leave the video cards you use when playing WoW

Thanks alot

Will my video card work with World of Warcraft, and if not, what video cards in your expierience work well?
Hmmm... Well, here's what I'd do first:

1. http://www.srtest.com/referrer/srtest This will evaluate your computer's hardware and tell you whether or not your system can handle the game and at what quality level. If something's wrong, it'll make suggestions for improvements. Just select the game you'd like to test with the drop down menu. The download is short and clean. I've tested it.

2. Install whatever drivers for that video card and get the latest copy of Direct X.

Also, make sure your video card even supports that software. I've just recently discovered that this can be... a huge problem.

What video cards are compatible with ASUS A7N266 motherboard?

Does anyone know any video cards that are compatible with DirectX 10?

I'm planning to build my own gaming rig, and I was wondering if there are any video cards that are still being made that are compatible with DirectX 10? Also, can anyone list any video cards that will be released later in the year that work with DirectX 10?

Does anyone know any video cards that are compatible with DirectX 10?
Most of the drivers are still under development....

NVidia states that for it new R80 core video cards, the drivers are to be released at the end of the month for DirectX 10...

ATI is internally testing the new DirectX 10 drivers.... No release date has been set but I am sure it will be close to that of NVidia...

So need a bit more patience...

Are decent AGP video cards still available?

So I just recently decided to upgrade my GeForce 5200FX to something a little more powerful in my Dimension 4600 desktop. The only problem is, the video card is indeed AGP, and my computer can't support PCI Express. I searched around a bit, but found that most of the cards I actually CAN use are no longer in production. Can anyone help me find one that I can actually purchase and use?

Are decent AGP video cards still available?
Decent is in the eye of the beholder. Try http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductLis... and see if you like any of those. There used to be 7600 GTs available for AGP boards, but I don't see those any longer. Try http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/deskt... to get some idea of the relative speed of the cards available.
Reply:Check the link-all kinds of AGP cards.
Reply:You betcha, go to www.tigerdirect.com or www.newegg.com. No problemo

Can you overclock preoverclocked video cards?

If a card comes pre overclocked can you overclock it with ntune or rivatuner? Is it a bad idea to overclock preoverclocked cards because they are already being pushed a lot past there normal speeds?

Can you overclock preoverclocked video cards?
Well, you'll void the warranty and my overheat it causing it to just run slower or just brake it.

You could try to download ATI tools (handles both Nvidia and ATI graphic cards).

ATI tools is a program that will protect you while overclocking as it will restore your graphic card to it's default setting if it's overclocked too much.
Reply:Void the warranty, destroy the card, all for nothing. You will never see any difference out of a video card that is overclocked, except in benchmark numbers.

How much of an improvement will I see from these video cards?

I currently have an ATI Radeon 9250 (128 mb DDR) and have already ordered this card.

How much better is the new card from the old one? Or is the first one better?

How much of an improvement will I see from these video cards?
dont know anything these cards but toms hardware always has good info
Reply:Any improvement in the newer card may be offset by the interface...

you'd have much off to get the newer card in an AGP interface.

If you're a gamer, you'd be much better off to spend about $200 on a card... IMO
Reply:Some improvement, but nothing major.
