How can i find computer video cards that are compatable with my Dell PC?
Basically any video card should work as long as you have the right connector on your motherboard. Some are AGP video cards and some are PCI and I think once a long time ago I saw an ISA. Basically look on Dell's site for what type of connectors you have on your motherboard then shop for a video card that matches what you have. You might, depending on your motherboard, be able to unplug your original card and see what matches it at the store.
Reply:You poor sole you. This is why you never ever buy a budget PC. It doesn't have an AGP or PCI-E slot so you can't add a very modern graphics card. You can add a PCI graphics card though the absolute best you are going to do in that area is a Geforce FX5500 all in all a horrible card for gaming. If you're expecting to be able to play games like FEAR and Crysis, I'm afraid you're out of luck.
Reply:you can get that from dell website.
Reply:most are compatible just make sure you burn a cd with the driver if you dont have an install disk
Reply:According to the Dell documentation you can only upgrade that computer with a PCI card. It does not has an available AGP or PCIe slot.

The PCI version of the same AGP card will be more expensive. I have 13 Dell GX1 that I have upgraded with Jaton nVidia base 128mb MX4000 PCI card. I find them to be very good cards. Your preformance is going to be limited anyways.
Reply:Probably PCI. Dell inrtegrates the video into the motherboard so you will have to disable it thru the BIOS Setup before installing your video card. Verify this by opening the computer and see if theres only WHITE connectors. This means ONLY PCI.
Reply:As long as the card uses the PCI interface, you can use almost any video card. Just plug it, install the correct drivers for the Operating System, and go ahead my friend. Something you have to know is that the PCI interface is Obsolete for video cards, I mean you won't find a very huge video card for PCI interface; but you can buy any PCI Video Card and install it into your Dell Dimension 3000 PC, just be sure to have the correct drivers for the operating system you are using.

Hope this helps.
Reply:The first place I'd check is the Dell website www.dell.com
Reply:almost every card is compatible with dell. just don't buy anything from 5 years ago.
