crossfire compatible with eachother
what 2 video cards would i need to run a efficient crossfire bored?
under 100 dollars preferably with 512mb video memory?
ati of course/ pci-e 16x of course/ an make sure they compatible with eachother/ i have an idea of what i want but tell me what yall think would be good?
Video cards?
The GPU is more important than the memory. A 256 meg X1950 pro easily beats a 512 meg HD 2600.
About the best you are going to do for that price is two X1950 Pro video cards. With that set up you can run any modern games at high settings.
You will have to buy them used off of eBay. I used to own an X1950 pro. Great video card. Its roughly equivalent to an Nvidia 7900 GT or 7800 GTX.
If you decide to go with a single video card instead, choose the 3850.
Reply:with video cards you get what you pay for, and sli, crossfire does not make much of a difference unless its a high end card anyway, you would be better off buying a single card thats better .
