Which are the best manufacturers? What features should a good video card for someone who works with graphics and videos support?

What are some good, modern video cards?
The absolute best are the ATI Fire series, or the nVidia Quadro series. Both are extremely expensive, but will provide the absolute performance. Which you should buy will depend on what software you have/are going to buy.





That said, most people use the more expensive "normal" video cards, which are the X1900XT/XTX from ATI and the 7900 series from nVidia. Both will provide ~75% of the performance, for much less money.
