Better to have two video cards or one?

Basically I have the option of getting two:

"BFG GeForce 7600GS 256MB DDR2 PCI-E"

cards, or one :

"Asus EN7600GS Silent HTD nVidia GeForce 7600GS 512MB GDDR2 PCI-E" card.

I know that:

a) getting the one card that is 512MB is cheaper

b) getting the one card will leave options for upgrading and adding a second similar card.

I want to know, however, if two video cards (each with half the power of the one) are better than one, or if one card is better, based on pure performance. Any experience/opinions are greatly appreciated

2 cards are better than one it will let it run faster, but if u are gonna get a seconed 512mb than go get that second 512 mb
Reply:The only time you need more than one video card is if you have more than one monitor, if you have just the one monitor go with the best video card you can afford.
