When will entry level Direct X 10 video cards become available?

It's time to upgrade my old system's video card and want to be able to play next gen games on it but don't want to spend $400.

When will entry level Direct X 10 video cards become available?
Probably have to wait till this summer, or hopefully ATI will get their R600 cards out to drive Nvidia's current monopoly prices down.
Reply:Just to let you know, many upcoming games still support DirectX 9 (Crysis, etc.), at least until DirectX 10 is widely accepted. Not everyone will get a new video card in the next couple of months, so game developers will take that into account.

DirectX 10 has just been released. ATI has not released their cards yet, so the real price drop will not come for a while. Nvidia is supposed to release mid-range Directx 10 cards in a few months, but entry-level cards will not be released for a while. After all, Nvidia still has its 7600 gs, 7950 gt, etc. cards that are still on the market.
