I want to switch video cards. How can I switch them without the computer saying windows did not boot regularly

Usually when you put in new hardware, doesnt the computer not boot properly, because it thinks it has the old card in there still?

You should have gotten instructions with your new graphics card.

What you can do is, remove the drivers in Device Manager, for your current g card.

Shut down the computer.

Remove the old card, and install the new card.

Turn computer back on. Your OS will install minimal drivers for graphics by plug-and-play. Use the CD that came with your new graphics card to install the drivers for it.

That should do it.
Reply:Just swap the cards and have your drivers ready. Shouldn't give you any problems unless your new card is incompatible with your board.
