Which of these video cards is better?

Which is better--NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 or ATI RADEON 9000? I'm going to buy one of the two to play video games with and I would like to make a good purchase.

Which of these video cards is better?
There really isn't much of a difference in those two cards, as far as speed. The ATI card will have better visual quality, though. That was really the downfall of the FX series of cards; they weren't all that slow (for their time), but they looked horrible, compared to ATI's cards.
Reply:For VidCard, Geforce ti4200 or a Radeon9000 or above would be my choice.

try to get an nvidia 6 or 7 series





and mark, i have a geforce ti 4200


the 5500 is probably much better





and i dont know about ati, never used them

Both are VERY outdated and you won't even be able to play decent games on them. Please, don't waste your money.





Radeon 9700 is the lowest you should go. I'm not a NVIDIA fan, so I don't know about that.
